My story
He has studied music and piano since childhood. Sebatián Piana was his first tango teacher. Graduated in Music (U.C.A., composition) and Piano professor in IUNA, he received a scholarship by the “Instituo Italiano de Cultura” to study composition with Giacomo Manzoni and Bianchinni. He studied Orchestral Conducting with Mario Benzecry. He studied piano tango with Nicolás Ledesma and Oscar De Elía. He is pianist and composer and his production includes chamber music, orchestral music and jingles. He won different composition awards: his Piano Sonata “El loco” won an “Honourable Mention”. In a competition organized by “Fundación Omega” he was finalist with his sextet “La Venise de L´Ouest”, and the music work was performed for the first time by Gerardo Gandini´s conducting. He participated in the “Les Allumnès” International Festival, in Nantes, France. He won the 1st Prize in Instrumental Composition in the “XVII Certamen Hugo del Carril” organized by the Buenos Aires Government with “Ayer y Hoy” tango. In 2012 he edited his CD called “Ayer y Hoy, mis tangos” supported by the “Fondo Metropolitano de las Artes,” with music from his authoring. Currently, he plays music in many places in Buenos Aires such us “La Esquina Homero Manzi”, “36 billares”, “Centro Cultural Recoleta”, among others. He is the official pianist in “La Poesía”, legendary bar placed in San Telmo neighborhood. He taught in the “Universidad de Buenos Aires” and “Universidad Católica Argentina” and at the moment he is a conducting director of two children orchestras: at the “Escuela de Coro y Orquesta Athos Palma” and at “Escuela de Música Nº. 12 D.E. 19” in Buenos Aires. He is also a piano accompanist at “Escuela de Danza Nº2”. He participated at the radio program “Los notables” and he was an editor of “Chacabuco Cultural” publication. In 2013 he is organizing a cultural cycle called “De músicos, poetas y locos todos tenemos un poco”, in the “Academia Porteña del Lunfardo” where many guests as Atilio Stampone, Raúl Garello, Juan Carlos Saravia and other very important argentine musicians have participated. In 2014, he was named Academic of number of the Academia Porteña del Lunfardo. He traveled to the USA in 2014 and in 2016 giving concerts and classes at the Universities of Graceland, Iowa, and Baker, Kansas and in New York. Both trips were declared "Of High Artistic and Cultural Interest by the Argentine Chancellery. On 2018 he was in a tour as a pianist of teh Tango HArmony Orchestra playing in Hungary, Austria, Germany and Holland. In 2019 thge Sextet played in he Mundial of Tango BATango, organized by the Buenos Aires Goberment in the Auditorium of the National Academic of Tango. In 2020 he offered the show "Puertas Abiertas-Pavo Urban" in the cities of Zadar and Dubromik, Croatia and in Budapest, Hungary, invited by the Zadar Concert Office, then, he extended the tour to Italy and Germany. In 2021 edited and performed his piano work and Cd "Minimal Piano Tango". In 2022 edited and performed "Tangos del 900", a CD for piano and flute in a Duo with Johana Brundo playing old tangos for the "Old Gard".
